OUR APPRENTICESHIPS
ROPEWAY TECHNICIAN
As a ropeway technician you are a true all-rounder - technical skills and business knowledge are required here. As a ropeway technician you have the best prerequisites to become an operations manager or engineer.
Your tasks
- Operating, servicing and maintaining ropeway systems
- Have knowledge and information about the structure and function of the individual types of ropeways (gondola lifts, chair lifts, surface lifts) and correct faults.
- Carry out maintenance and repair work
- Be able to read & create technical documents, schematics and construction drawings.
- Have basic knowledge of snowmaking, weather and avalanche awareness and make the right decision depending on the situation.
- Plan and maintain ski slopes.
ELECTRICAL ENGINEER
As broad as the areas in electrical engineering are, the apprenticeship of an electrical engineer is just as varied. Among other things, you are responsible for the smooth operation of all technical facilities and systems.
Your tasks
- Construction, assembly and commissioning of electrical devices, machines and systems.
- Reading electrical circuits, circuit diagrams and assembly diagrams
- Building control cabinets and carrying out measurements
- Maintaining and repairing electrical systems
- Measuring, laying and connecting cables and lines
- Converting machines and systems
VEHICLE TECHNICIAN
The tasks of a mechanic at the mountain railroads are very diverse and interesting. For example, you are responsible for the proper functioning of machines with over 500 hp.
Your tasks
- Carry out testing, assembly and modification work on piste machines, skidoos, motor vehicles.
- Apply mechanical, electrical and electronic measuring and testing procedures.
- Manual and mechanical metalworking (drilling, grinding, filing, etc.).
- Learning various welding processes.
- Driving a Slope Bully.
GASTRONOMY
The apprenticeships at the mountain railroads are as diverse as the areas of responsibility in the catering industry. The following professions can be learned in mountain railroad gastronomy

RETAIL SALESMAN/WOMAN
As a retail salesman/woman at the Bikepark Serfaus-Fiss-Ladis you are the central interface for
the smooth running of the Bikepark.
In addition to advising customers, selling mountain lift tickets, repairing bikes, you are also responsible you are also responsible for the design/furnishing of the sports store and can contribute your ideas.
